Key Rules of PlunderChess® Play:
<ol>
 <li>"Plundering" happens when a capturing piece gains extra moving capabilities from the captured piece, strengthening itself. This enhancement is symbolized by colored "vests" overlaid on the capturing piece, indicating the acquired powers.</li>

<li>The additional powers obtained via plundered vests can be used once in a future move only, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.</li>

<li>Plundering is at the player's discretion and can be declined. Opting not to plunder may be wise if anticipating a counter-capture by the opponent.</li>

<li>A colored vest banner signifies that the capturing piece possesses additional moving capabilities for one subsequent move, serving as a tactical indicator for both players.</li>
